Mr. McKoy is a professional Chemist with over 15 years experience conducting biological, environmental, industrial hygiene sampling and analysis. He has a background in medical laboratory technology, medical research, environmental and analytical chemistry. He also has an extensive background in analytical instrumentation and methods development and validation. Mr. McKoy is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and the Environmental Assessment Association (EAA). He also serves on a number of commitees of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) involving environmental technical standards development. He has experience in the prevention and decontamination in cases of occupational exposure to hazardous chemicals and bloodborne pathogens in accordance with guidelines of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). He has conducted investigations and analysis on pesticide levels in commercial products, plant and animal tissues, and groundwaters for the State of Virginia. He was instrumental in the analysis of discharges from designated and indirect sources for regulatory compliance and permitting under the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). He was instrumental in sampling and analysis for the Chesapeake Bay Monitoring (CBM) Program and the Quality Assurance Workgroup (CBQAW). coducted instrumental analysis and compiled data of conventional pollutants in environmental and drinking water under the pursuant to the Clean Water Act for the Virginia Water Control Board. Received certificate of completion for EPA-Model coursework in Asbestos Abatement Contractor/Supervisor/Management Planner/Project Monitor. Licensed by the State of Virginia as an Asbestos Inspector, an Asbestos Management Planner,and Asbestos Project Monitor. Training and certificate in Lead Abatement Inspections and Risk Assessments from the University of Maryland, in Baltimore, and EPA sponsored Lead Training Consortium. He is licensed as a Lead-based Paint Inspector/ Risk Assessor and a Project Designer/ Management Planner in the Commonwealth of Virginia and Maryland.
